For the Love of a Good Book…

Creating environment for content can be subtle or elaborate, depending on what supports the relationship between content and reader. Not unlike how an architect creates space for experience and use, I design expressly for relationship.

There is joy in taking a shoebox of magazine clippings and antique photos, deciphering their secrets, clarifying how they connect with language, then tumbling through the process of fitting into situation and working along with other talents: authors, editors, proofreaders, and production, all racing for deadline, and then marketing experts looking for the best way to find a piece of the spotlight. Finally a miraculous physical objects has its moment on the shelf, ultimately to be shifted into a reader’s thirsty hands.
